Language Requirements

The Degree Program in Psychological Sciences and Techniques requires a B2 level, upper-intermediate, knowledge of the English language. Teaching and assessment of language proficiency are entrusted to the University Language Centre, to which students should refer for information on the organisation of training activities and assessment methods (C.L.A.).

Assessment is expressed as a pass/fail result.

The University Language Centre also offers free courses in French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian as a second language, and other languages, differentiated by level, timetable and intensity of attendance.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING - ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Anyone holding a certificate issued by one of the bodies officially recognised by the Ministry of University and Research, M.U.R. (click here), may request its recognition.

 

Procedure:

complete the “Exam Recognition Request” form, including all required attachments, and send it to the Teaching Office according to the following procedures:

  • Send it by email to the Teaching Office at psicologia@unifi.it for forms requiring payment of virtual stamp duty. In this case, the stamp duty must first be requested from the Student Administration Office at segreteriastudenti.capponi@unifi.it from the student’s UniFi email account, specifying in the email subject: “stamp duty for School of Psychology request, student number _______”.

All documentation must be sent to the Teaching Office only after payment has been made. Applications that are not complete with all the required elements will be considered invalid.

Or

  • Submit it in person to the Teaching Office in Via della Torretta 16 for forms with the original €16 revenue stamp attached, by appointment only. Appointments can be requested by phone at 055 2755373 - 055 2755383 or by email at psicologia@unifi.it.

[Please note: in the form, in the “DENOMINAZIONE” field, students may write only “English language”, and in the “ATENEO” field they may write the name of the certifying body that issued the certificate, for example Cambridge. The other fields may be left blank.]
